St. Louis Wrap-up 03/27/2026 - By Claire P '26
Oooooh my gosh. For the first time since 2019, TEAM 6391 IS GOING TO WORLDS! After an amazing start to the day, we ended up ranked 2 and picked 9401 Midas Mayhem and 1982 Cougar Robotics for our awesome alliance! The playoffs went well, even if we had some strange malfunctions (losing vision, a swerve, and most shooting capabilities). We made it through and went to the finals against alliance 1 and lost there. However, we received the Autonomous Award (presented by Google) for our consistent auto routines! We are so proud of all the hard work the girls have put in and cannot wait to see what happens in Houston!

Wow. What a weekend! Team 6391 was the 5th alliance captain with teams 4523 McRobo and 2373 The Crickets. Today went very well, and during the playoffs we ended up in 5th place overall! We are so proud of our team for being ready for a week one competition and doing so well. We cannot wait for STL Regional. Thank you so much for all the support from wherever you are
GRC Wrap-up 10/12/2025 - By Claire P '26
We had an absolute blast. On Friday, we packed up and headed over to Oakville High School to help with field and event setup. This included many dance breaks and a qt run. Saturday was the day of the competition, which included an hour break between match 1 and 10, A surprise visit by Mr Kessler and our dear friend Natalie, and of course, so much fun! We had a great run of matches and were chosen as the Alliance #5 captain!!! We chose 4959 and 8069. Thank you so much to both of our alliance partners! We made it decently far in the elimination bracket and called it a day. Thank you so much to all the mentors, parents, and volunteers who helped this event run. Of course, thank you to our friends over at Oakville for hosting! Congrats on retirement, Bearacuda!
MO-Kan State Wrap-up 06/08/2025 - By Claire P '26
We finished the tournament in rank 13 and had so much fun! Our matches were a great way to show off what Bearacuda can do. We proved that we can score quickly and even had some great climbs! We were the first pick of Alliance 8, with 5126 and 6843! We had some great rounds, which both ended due to unfortunate circumstances. Swipe to the end to see said circumstance (we popped an algae oops). However, we replaced the algae with our spare, and that lasted all the way through finals!! We packed up and are all back in St. Louis. Cannot wait for GRC in the fall!
!Iowa Regional Wrap-up 03/20/2025- By Claire P '26
What a great way to end the season! For most of Saturday, we were rank 3/51 which is a new record for Bearbotics (beating our previous of 5 in STL two weeks ago). We were the Alliance Captain of Alliance 4 with 7531 and 1625 ! We had a good run until unfortunately there were some robot malfunctions. Our team also won the creativity award! We are so thankful to everyone who cheered for us in person and online. Thank you for your support! Stay tuned for more from Bearbotics :)
STL Regional Wrap-up 03/16/2025- By Claire P '26
Our friends over at Westminster Cyborg Cats (4256) picked us as their 1st pick for Alliance 3! This is a personal best for Team 6391. From there, we were joined by Perpetual Chaos 931, and we were locked in on strategy. Our first match was nothing short of chaotic. Our team received a yellow card, which caused us to lose the match. From there, we were in the lower bracket. We won our next match, where the Cyborg Cats tipped, and we were temporarily stuck on top of some algae. In the next match, nothing crazy happened other than us sadly losing and being done at the regional. Thank you to our alliance; we had so much fun working with you all. Shoutout to our amazing mentors, our drive team, and everyone who volunteered at this amazing event. Next stop: Iowa Regional!
SLUH Robobills Visit 11/16/2024 - By Claire P '26
6391 got to take a tour of their space, and then the teams got together to talk about our processes for our teams. After a bit, we took a dinner break and had some pizza and got to know eachother a bit better. We look forward to seeing them at the St. Louis Regional this next season! Thank you for inviting us!
Pre-Season Update 11/9/2024 - By Claire P '26
Bearbotics has been super busy lately! Our team has been meeting to plan for the upcoming season. We have a good checklist we've been working on to make some progress. Some of the items on this list include organizing our spaces, building new swerve drives, and making plans to collaborate with other teams. We also had our open house at Ursuline! Our team had a booth and loved to see many people stopping by. We had a slideshow going and we had some giveaways for potential bears. 6391 has also been hard at work in securing fundraising for our team. Stay tuned for more about our pre-season adventures!
Gateway Robotics Competition 2024- By Claire P '26
This weekend 6391 participated in the annual Gateway Robotics Competition at Oakville High School. With weeks of preparation, the team was very excited to get back into the action and play with Presto some more. The team has recently had many changes such as the retirement of two dedicated drive team members and then a new wave of students joining. With new roles nailed out, Bearbotics was ready to face what was next. We met several times before the competition to work on tuning Presto's new arms and drive practice for our two new drive teams. On Friday, the ladies helped load up some cars and headed over to Oakville. Setting up was smooth and quick. Next, we headed into Gym A where the competition would be held, and got ourselves familiar with the sizing of a full field and fueled our excitement for the next morning. Once the morning hit, 6391 was hyped up and started our warm-ups and qualification matches. While the team lost the first match, we went on to have a 2-2 record on qualifications. Our ranking points gained us the position to be Alliance Captain #7. Our scouting team was hard at work choosing who we would select. In the meantime, we were selected by Alliance 2, Oakville Dynamics. We accepted and helped decide on our other partner, UCity Robolions. The three teams were ready to compete after a quick lunch with some fixes to the robots. Playoff time came around and our alliance beat our first opponent. We lost to our second, who won the whole tournament, moving us down to the loser bracket. Bearbotics was not done yet, however, as we went on to win another match. Unfortunately, we were eliminated after this match, but we had so much fun. The team went on to become very close with other teams around us, and we look forward to seeing everyone at regionals this next season!
